Oversleeping: its Pros and its Cons

Every Thursday, my classes start bright and early at 8:30 AM. This particular Thursday, however, I awoke at 9:20. Yes, by the time I was rubbing my eyes and reading a text message from a worried classmate inquiring as to where I was, I was already 50 minutes late for class. By the time I actually arrived, embarrassed and looking a mess, I was 75 minutes late for class (my first class is 140 minutes long). It was an unpleasant experience, and I had never been that late to something in my life (save for one incident in grade school, but that's another story). This morning was just a nasty experience overall thanks to my body's inconsiderate little habit of forcing me to satisfy its needs like sleeping and eating. Most people I know are able to control this, or have a bodily clock that would have the courtesy of at most oversleeping until a few minutes before their first class. Not mine!
To look on the flipside, I was extraordinarily well rested today.
